Now days you hear so much about how processed salts and processed foods are bad for you. There are concerns that it could be linked to MS, Cancer, Migraines, etc. In 2011 I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). Last year, I read an article which mentioned a study being done about processed salts in processed foods being possibly linked to MS. It blew my mind just reading it, but the next day I walked the aisles of the grocery store picking up various boxes and looking at the sodium count on the nutritional labels. My jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe how much sodium they contained. Then I looked at the ingredients summary and there were so many words I couldn’t pronounce that just sounded bad. I started thinking to myself how can putting that stuff in our bodies be ok? It can’t be good for our families!!! So I started trying to cut out processed foods but at the time I was working 40 hours a week and finding time to try out new recipes was nearly impossible.
Our family was recently blessed with a new opportunity and for the time being I’m able to be a homemaker again. I decided to start a blog to help out other families who want to try new recipes. I want to show you that you can make recipes using less processed foods that taste just as good or sometimes even better!
Recipes are my main passion, but I don’t want to limit my blog to just one area. Every now and then I may throw in some budget saving tips, travel tips, fitness tips, etc.
Life is crazy and families now days are pinched for time….I believe we can all use tips to make our daily lives a little bit easier. I hope that this blog will do that for you and be a blessing to you and your family!
